Briefly About the Homeopathy
Homeopathy (homois – similar, pathos – illness) is a comprehensive method of treatment and it is about 200 years old. It was founded by Samuel Hahnemann (1755-1843). The basic principle of this approach to treatment is the rule of similarity. Similia similibus curantur – similar is treated by similar. “Each substance that is able to induce certain symptoms in a healthy individual, must be able to cure these symptoms in an ill individual.”
There is no difference whether we treat a person or a pet. The principles of treatment of animals are consistent with the principles of homeopathic treatment of people. There are the same medicines as well as the same potencies – the powers of the medicine being used. The approach of the homeopath that treats animals is the same, as if he would treat people.
Next it is very important to observe and perceive the four-legged patient. Reasons for the use of this non-conventional method when treating animals are the same as when treating people. There is a growing number of chronic non-treatable cases, which the classic veterinary medicine cannot handle. These include behavioral disorders, the inability to use chemical medicines and the like. There are many differences between homeopathy and alopathy. There is the different perceiving of the illness, the philosophical background, the different approach to the illness, different medicines.
Homeopathy has little in common with conventional medicine, but both systems of treatment are very important and are connected by the desire to help the sick and to raise him to a state of well-being and health. If these two systems interact the result is a satisfied owner and a healthy animal.
How do we determine the medicine? Homeopath takes interest in everything. Fears, preferences, reactions to people, to other animals, to the weather, overcome illnesses, behavioral changes and so on. He also monitors the relationship between the animal and the master, their communication and inquires about the family in which the animal lives. We cannot forget, that the diagnosis established by allopathic medicine is also of great importance. We distinguish states of acute and chronic pathologies and choose the potency (power of the medicine) accordingly.
After administering the medicine we have to wait to see what happens (a reaction), improvement, worsening, or nothing. This work largely involves intuition and experience... The medicine is administered directly into the oral cavity, the repetition of administration changes with each particular case. Sometimes it may seem that it takes very long time for the homeopath to find the correct medicine. From your point of view, you may be wondering about his strange questions, but if he is to find the proper medicine, just answer the questions and be patient.
You know, first we have to find the key, which we put into the correct keyhole. Only then can we unlock.
